Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 18, 2008 6:07 pm I'm feeling rather strange this evening - in a daze, I suppose. I can't get my head around the fact that this journey/dream/NIGHTMARE that started in February 2007 is finally coming to an end tomorrow.
We will have a house. We can come and go as we please. We will no longer have to whinge/complain/stress to unsympathetic ears about small issues or about big issues (well, maybe just a little bit longer because I don't beliveve everything will have been fixed for tomorrow). But, we'll see - there is nothing major left, and I will trust them to do the right thing - we need the house tomorrow, so we can get everything done before we move in 2 weeks. Wow - we're actually going to move...............pinch me someone, I must be dreaming Built a Clarendon 'Balmain' 2008 Re: Incredible but true - handover done - the house is ours!!! 3Nov 18, 2008 6:38 pm OMG Maxie so very excited for you!!!!

Re: Incredible but true - handover done - the house is ours!!! 20Nov 19, 2008 6:19 pm Well, it's all over - we have all those many keys in our hot little hands!
handover was quite a pleasant experience - just about everything that should have been fixed was - SS called the painter to do a couple of touch ups and he was there within 5 mins. Only yukky thing was that over the past couple of days someone (but SS had a good idea who it was) used our kitchen sink to dispose of some sort of chemical cleaner and didn't bother to wash it away - just left it there all splashed around. So, it had started to discolour the stainless steel - we will be getting a new sink as a result of this Other than that, we're happy - after all the dramas of the past year and a half, I know that nothing can be 100% perfect, so the odd thing we may discover from now on, we can live with (or maybe until the 3 month service!) Now, on to getting organised for the big move in 2 weeks - help!
