My ensuite is next to one of the minor bedroom I found that the plumbling work they do (prepare for the vanity unit) is sitting in the middle of the wall between the minor bedroom and the ensuite (hope i make sense to everyone), is it ok? or should i be concern? would appreciated any comments, thanks Blog - http://clageonewhouse.blogspot.com/ Building Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=10886&hilit=milan I am in, with my husband and my beautiful bunny Re: Is this ok? or should i be concern? 2Oct 29, 2008 7:49 pm Hi claego, I really have no idea about this stuff but I think you are right to question it. Our plumbing didn't interrupt the framework like that Hopefully someone else will offer a more expert opinion.
Congratulations on the slab and frame by the way Re: Is this ok? or should i be concern? 3Oct 29, 2008 9:41 pm Thanks donuts, they are building quite quick, only half a day and the frame is almost done (except for the roof). i tried to check if there is any broken frame or weid things, but turn out quite good except this plumbing things..
I will properly put up a thread later... But now, i properly need a quick call to my SS... In our last house we had our plumbing like this also. This way you will have a clear floor under the vanity unit and can see no plumbing under the unit.
Hope this helps Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!! Re: Is this ok? or should i be concern? 5Oct 29, 2008 9:59 pm We had exactly the same thing - I had a MAJOR stress out over this, and was eventually told it was OK. After looking through all the other 20 or so houses under construction in the estate one afternoon (yes, I was obsessing big time over it) I discovered at least half of them had the same pipe through the frame thing going on

I have to slap myself twice, when i walked through the displays i did say that this setup is nice.. silly me Maxie, thanks too, and not obsessing at all.. i was thinking the same thing actually.. but there aren't many houses built in my estate so i am thinking to go to another estates.. Thats a prefab frame so if it took them any longer than a day to put the walls up then they would be considered slow carpenters Re: Is this ok? or should i be concern? 9Oct 31, 2008 3:58 pm Yep, we had that sort of thing - except ours prevented the plaster fromm being hung as it stuck out too far - it had to be jackhammered and moved back , so just make sure it's in the right spot !!!!!!! Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: Is this ok? or should i be concern? 11Nov 02, 2008 7:51 am Hmmm, this really got my attention claego, because after a brief inspection of our frame yesterday, it appears we will have a 'wall hung' toilet!!!
It seems we have a pipe under our frame WTH? We have taken photos and will query this with builder on Mon, but at the moment it seems that someone was a little out with their measurements! And so it begins... We have been assured that all is as it should be. Apparantly, this hole is for a breather pipe that will be run up through the wall and out through the roof because the ensuite toilet is not on an external wall. We have also been assured that the pipe for the toilet is there despite not being visible at present, as is the drain pipe for the bath which is also currently invisible. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
