A quick one. Has anyone built with, or heard about any experiences with Platinum Homes in WA?
They are part of the Builton Group which do apartments etc etc. Platinum is their homes section. Mostly custom.
We are looking at doing a large single story place, were also considering Webb & Brown Neeves and Bellagio.
Budget is around $500k.
Anyone have any other builders they could recommend?

If I had a decent budget like yours I'd go Webb Browne Neaves in a heartbeat. Google House by the Water - a blog about a family who built with them in Mandurah, they may have some advice about them first hand.

I work in the industry and I wouldn't build with Webb Browne I think they are overpriced for what they are. Summit homes build a good house, and also think Coast homes would probably be pretty good as they have well known people behind them.

yes, i built with them.
Overall pretty happy. Quality was excellent. No real dramas. A little slow but they were very responsive when issues were raised. The subcontractors / trades they used were all very good and they seemed to have along term relationship with the builder which was evident in they way they went about their work.

Quick update, did sign with Platinum but only lost about $15,000 worth of deposit and pre-planning expenses. We ended up getting the home built with a smaller WA based builder who has been very good to date and we should be reaching handover soon. Its been a long process but the build was far from straight forward (and not cheap).
