You must be excited you are close to starting We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Re: Our custom home - downward slope - Colour selections don 111Mar 24, 2013 8:11 am Thanks 1rocky and Bradster181 - We are pretty content with our choices. Onewheel - I just had a look at your thread and yes, very similar colours! RagnersWife - I love our internal doors. Surprisingly they weren't an upgrade for us, just another available choice which was good. The decision process itself wasn't too hard. We had a great colour consultant provided to us by our builder so she helped us decide. I had some pics printed from the Internet and some magazine clippings etc of what styles/colours I liked and we went from there. Our set out should be getting done tomorrow it was delayed a week as the set out guy couldn't find the boundary markers Hubby and I went to the block last week and found the markers in less than a minute. The set out guy didn't look too well! So we called the builder to tell him the markers are definitely there so we won't be paying the additional $1000-$1200 to get another survey done. Builder then booked the set out for Monday. Fingers crossed we don't encounter another hiccup which looses us more time. Hopefully I'll be able to upload a carpet pic by tonight Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Our custom home - downward slope - Colour selections don 114Mar 24, 2013 1:17 pm Well that was easier than we thought! Selected our carpets today. We were happy to go with the builder's standard carpet as we are only having carpet in two rooms - theatre and study. We chose Flinders Green carpet in the colour Taupe. Here is a picture that shows the carpet against the paint colour for the study and theatre, and a picture showing the carpet pattern. I came across this company as they were the importers & distributers of a specific Italian tile I wanted for our kitchen splashback. Here are the tiles we chose for the bathroom, ensuite and two powder rooms. We also chose a white high gloss tile for the laundry splashback although I don't have a picture of those tiles. The second photo (although a very bad photo) is of the tiles we are having imported from Italy for our kitchen splashback. I really should have taken a photo at the tile place as this pic really does it no justice. The bathroom bench is a quartz stone by JDL Stone called Silver Star White. It's a beautiful stone with silver/mirror flecks through it. Your kitchen tile looks great too, it is so hard sometimes to capture these things in a picture. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! A camera cannot always capture something as well as we see it in real life. Well... I'm not sure if its a fault of the camera or my poor photography skills We have had a real busy few days driving here there and everywhere finalising selections for our home. Today we took a hike down to Reece Plumbing in Heidelberg to select our tap ware, basins etc for our build. The staff were lovely and had a great sense of humour. Encouraged us to both get into the bath to make sure we'd both fit. I'm rapt with the bath. It's so deep and I can imagine having a soak after a long day. Loving all of our selections actually Some items we upgraded from standard so we are waiting to hear back from the builder for the total upgrade cost. Hopefully it's not too excessive!
