If you haven't already talk to your builder about whether they will treat them before or after they go on site. With negotiation our builder has arranged for the painter to visit the supplier to treat them before they go onsite. Your bathroom colours sound lovely. Don't you just hate how much every little extra thing costs though? The main reason we chose Fairmont was that by building with them we could afford most of the ahem 'little' extras that we wanted. I looked at Clairville and they looked awesome! I looked at Clairville and they looked awesome! Wow the whole house that will look great. Yeah Its important that they get treated. I am pretty sure from memory the builder said that they come treated and get treated once in aswell but I may just double check that. I will upload bathroom tile choice, I hope they look good, its so hard to know. It can feel like every little thing is an upgrade We were lucky that our builder offered mostly everything we wanted as standard and have been very reasonable when we did want those little extra things. If you go with a good builder its not so bad but still, I guess that's where they make their money. Just have to make sure we keep on top of them Building thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63581&p=992445#p992445 Contracts signed: 8/11/12 Subdivision: 25/2/13 Settlement: 05/03/13 Work commenced:27/03/13 Slab: 11/04/13 Framing: 13/05/13 Roof: 31/05/13 Re: FIRST TIMERS building our first home in SA 15Mar 18, 2013 10:18 pm Dirt arrive today and work starts tomorrow on the block YAAAYYYYYY Interior choices: These are our bathroom tiles we are using the feature tile underneath the mirror in the ensuite and main bathroom. We are almost your neighbours... well you are closer to our neighbours than most others, we are building in auldana. I have a friend that is currently building with Clairville as well, they are in beaumont, I know they were really happy with the quote they got. Yes charred oak, I haven't seen it done before so I hope it looks good so nice to hear your happy with it. I love doing selection but must admit i get a bit nervous when I haven't seen it finished! Yes clairville have been incredible and we are so happy to be building with them! We have family that have built with them and their houses are beautiful. Re: FIRST TIMERS building our first home in SA 18Mar 19, 2013 7:24 pm I love the alfresco tile. I am thinking of going for a light tile outside too. My friend has black butt floors and they are stunning. We are having bamboo as direct interiors don't supply timber flooring. If they did I would prob choose Black butt. Yeah I think a light tile makes the space look a bit bigger. Bamboo looks really nice aswell. What bamboo colour have you selected? Re: FIRST TIMERS building our first home in SA 20Mar 20, 2013 9:04 pm Great plan and selections, same colour palate we're hoping to choose for our build! The master area looks amazing! We are just up the road from your build in Trinity Gardens but building up in Mt barker Look forward to some more updates, will be watching closely!
