Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: BUILDING update 499Aug 28, 2008 12:41 am I remember Ladyice or Mek (from memory) asking if you could tell the difference between a solid timber staircase and timber clad.
We're very happy with our timber clad staircase but then we haven't looked at a solid timber one for a while. The layers used straight length timbers on ours, which cost a bit more but still significantly less than a solid timber staircase. Around 3K for timber clad in spotted gum (12 mm). I'll post some pics once it has been finished. If anyone wants a recommendation on the layers PM us and we'll get back to you. We've had timber laid before but these guys really are great. Next time we build (I can't believe I just said that) we might do an owner/builder job as we have learned so much through this process and got onto some great trades. You sure do get to know who does a good job compared to those who just go into the house to get the job done. And I have a new appreciation for the guys who have worked on our house ... they really do <MOSTLY> take pride in their work. go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110570 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11035 |
