I'd continue this colour for the entire wall right up around the overhead cupboards. Hi Jo, yep, thinking about this as well, like they did it in the picture. I want it to be dramatic but still very elegant. It will all come together...I am going to post a few more kitchen pictures to help me and others visualise the look I'm after. I like Michelle's suggestion to paint above the cupboards red so that the walls seem higher - I didn't realise it would have that effect (....which is probably why I'm not the interior decaorator! ) - you can never have your wlls looking too high!
