Not like the square old fashioned looking ones with lots of dust on! Re: slimline sectional garage door 8Dec 24, 2012 10:49 pm I hadn't thought of the fact that it would be less cleaning. Looks like my garage door will be the slimline sectional door Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: slimline sectional garage door 10Dec 25, 2012 9:26 pm Had both styles and much prefer the slimline for the exact reason mentioned and that is precisely why we have chosen slimline for this house too... A lighter door shows the darker dust and a darker door shows the dust as lighter on the heritage panel styles...Either way one constantly needs to hose them down particularly if you are in a new area with constant building going on around you... Oh and by the way ho ho ho MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE ON HOME FORUM... Maybe the odd sweep, but I chose it due to being next to a dirt road, and not being a dark colour and not being a heritage style, So no raised bits. I wanted a wood look, but glad I didn't go for that now. Re: slimline sectional garage door 14Dec 26, 2012 12:15 pm Who is the bright spark that mentioned something about "cleaning" and "garage door" ! ta very much, now I have to go outside and check it out....was resting peacefully until now... Re: slimline sectional garage door 18Dec 26, 2012 1:15 pm Think your on the money there HomeAngels..researching back through the posts, I came to the same conclusion, as you say "if it starts with a K " etcetc, anyhow Have made a diary note for sometime next year to repeat the process..... You know you want too..... But I am not going to lower my standards. My husband calls the garage his man cave and I am not allowed to touch anything in there unless it is to get food out of the freezer. Anything needed to go to the attic, I have to leave in there for ' him to do later' It is a mans job, using the attic pull down stairs. Oh and talking of them, make sure your man hole goes in the ceiling of the garage, if you want good storage for Christmas trees, sleeping bags, tents, boogie boards etc. get a pull down loft ladder..and chuck some ply wood up there for using to store the stuff on.
