Been in our home for just over a week now and no mail. Are AusPost delivering out to us yet?!? You also need to make sure your mail box is on the right hand side of the driveway, so that main can be put in the box from a car window. We are currently considered 'rural mail' and they will not get out of the car. Apparently Warralily are trying to solve it by housing a motor bike in the estate for him to ride. My mailbox is on the right but no way could you reach it from a car window. Surely the princess could get out of the car and walk 5m. Strange we are considered rural when the mail centre in grovedale is literally 5km away, it wouldn't be that hard to ride a postie bike down here. I wonder If Barwon Heads has the same problem? Apparently the issue is the 100km speed limit on Barwon Heads Road, it makes it 'unsafe' for a bike. We put ours on the left before we heard, and then Warralily offered to put a temporary one on the right for us, which they did. Also, how long will it take for the $5k rebate to be funded after landscaping is complete. Also I have noticed a few homes with plain painted concrete driveways (not acceptable in warralily guidelines) and many landscaped front yards without an established tree (also required by the panel guidlines) - does this mean these homes forfeit their $5k rebate? I think when the guidelines say 'Plain colour concrete driveways will not be permitted', they mean... plain/raw concrete. It does say that Coloured concrete is allowed, so I'm assuming that it means you can't have a natural cement driveway... it must be coloured concrete or aggregate etc etc. I could be wrong, but thats my guess. We're building with Simonds and we're getting a coloured concrete driveway and they seem to be all over the Warralily guidelines.
