Wouldn't PD have verified that before doing the build? Has anyone has similar issues like this before? Hey like what ? And Which estate (generally) Not sure why they care... Our developer has all these guidelines but everyone is doing what they want after they move in... Re: Porter Davis homes 6413Dec 13, 2012 6:51 pm PD should have followed the guidelines, well if you want to maintain the value of your house I would suggest that you stick to the guidelines. Get the developer to provide you with details and forward it to PD. Hi tamugrg, I understand that you have contacted your B/C direct regarding this matter, which was the right thing to do. They are looking into this for you and will be back in touch ASAP. Can anyone tell me where I can select what type of bath I want. I also want a different toilet to the 2 that they have on display at hopetoun. In my standard specifiations it says Imperial Cleo suite, does that mean they are using Imperial as the brand and that I can choose any from this brand from their website? The bath states Decina bath, I do not want acrylic I want china, so can I choose my own from the Decina range? Thanks guys Re: Porter Davis homes 6416Dec 15, 2012 8:18 pm they have started to frame my house.... bcos of the weather they only managed to do the theatre room and galley Re: Porter Davis homes 6417Dec 15, 2012 8:34 pm chrystee I've got my selections appointment next Tuesday. The bath states Decina bath, I do not want acrylic I want china, so can I choose my own from the Decina range? Thanks guys it depends... somethings can be outside what they have at Hopetoun, somethings can't. There are a few things PD have in the display homes that aren't available at hopetoun eg Showerheads,Shower rail, sink n toilet suites. These I managed to upgrade even though it wasn't displayed at Hopetoun. The bath may not be upgradable (I managed to get the Decina range and there are no china baths there). you may have to get approval from your BC if you want to upgrade. Highly unlikely you will get full freedom of choice on the Imperial and Decina bath since PD gets bulk discounts for buying thousands of the same type of fitting (eg bath/toilet etc).. Even with the tiling, PD tile boutique sources tiles from National Tiles, but a lot of the National Tile range is not available as a selection choice with PD (they just flatly refuse). Re: Porter Davis homes 6418Dec 19, 2012 9:35 am Had my electrical and colour selections yesterday. All went really well, very happy with the selections, the colour consultant was awesome. I have started a blog, the link is http://chrysteeporterdavis.blogspot.com.au/ Lovely floor plan! What a huge pantry you'll have! Looking forward to following your progress! We've just this week got our dates for our tender and colour appointments - in March. Can't wait! Re: Porter Davis homes 6420Dec 20, 2012 11:01 pm ma2531 PD had given us R6.0 batts in the celing, and R2.5 in walls and sisalation, and all double glazed windows in the lounge/study/dining windows. so hoping it will be good enough. ill let u know whenever the house is finished! keep up the good work......................... Is there a way of confirming the windows are double-glazed? My plans say PD to supply as double glazed windows as well so I was wondering if there was a way of visually confirming they are double-glazed. Do your double-glazed windows look different to the standards? Don't suppose you have a picture of the double glazed window (close up of the glass) as I couldn't see one on you blog... Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12341 Ask for references and speak to them.
