I wouldn't bother with the bamboo it will get ratty in fun sun and wind. Blueberry ash is a great choice and you can simply clip it the desired height and width. But overall, looking at the entire fence, you might be better off attaching mesh/lattice and growing climbers like Star Jasmine across the lot. You can get big coverage from a small root area with a climber compared to hedging shrubs/small trees. Thanks for the tip - I was wanting some privacy though becuase standing on the soil the fence is only about 1-1.2 m high. I don't want to be able to see people over my fence!
