Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 5Dec 05, 2012 1:01 pm Fmac, we can still make changes.. Our signing up is on Sunday! I liked the corner space for appliances to hide! We have currently asked for the alfresco to be wider and for some reason in the last change we lost a basin in the ensuite they are adding back! D&A1, Thank you! I still call it Scott park, take awhile for everyone to use the new name! Did you do many upgrades at prestart? Weve been to the office but it's all renovated and the items were on the floor still being organised! AC, My partner is from SOR and I'm from NOR, we did the south for awhile now it's my turn to be closer to family! I see you have got raised ceilings as well, may I ask why you have gone for this? You also have got a decent sized garden by the looks of it too, I look forward to following your build Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 7Dec 05, 2012 1:44 pm Thank you, it was so hard deciding on the house and builder! We were also thinking about celebration homes who were fantastic but we preferred this house a little more. We raised the ceilings to open it all up! I wanted the alfresco to 31c so my partner then decided he wanted his man cave(theatre) recessed to 31c too! Eventually we will build a pool so we wanted some room at the back! Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 8Dec 05, 2012 1:50 pm I wish I made my alfresco 31c that would of been sick but not the theatre though best to keep the sound confined thats if you get the full aurround going but we sunk our theatre room so prob works out the same in hindsight. Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 9Dec 05, 2012 5:01 pm Im not too fussed about that but might mention could save me a bit of money for elsewhere.. I don't want to mess with his man cave or else he might mess with my kitchen Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 10Dec 05, 2012 9:23 pm I love that alfresco, that will look amazing as you walk in from the entry foyer into the family area. Can I ask why you don't have your kitchen sink under the alfresco window, was that just your preference? Would leave that breakfast bar area free to put a few stools up Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 11Dec 05, 2012 10:33 pm I think there is many things they could consider todo with that kitchen. like having a window the opens up to the alfresco and having a breakfast bar off that window outside would be pretty cool also especially for summer use. Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 12Dec 05, 2012 10:47 pm Hi busy, AC is right, we have gone with the idea of the breakfast servery out to the alfresco. I saw it at a display home once and fell in love! Hopefully works out like I've planned Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 14Dec 06, 2012 9:24 am That would have been amazing, we looked into it but was too costly so agreed upon a sliding window! Lotto would be nice right about now Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 15Dec 06, 2012 9:26 am Hey Nicci, my partner and I are also building in Corimbia, glad to hear there's more people moving up our way! Are you in the new section north of Queensway? It looks great out there Looking forward to following your journey! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 16Dec 06, 2012 9:37 am Ahaha! I just commented on your thread! Yes we north of queensway! My street name is odd and still not sure how to pronounce it! I love stocklands estates they always make them so pretty Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 17Dec 06, 2012 5:03 pm Nicci D&A1, Thank you! I still call it Scott park, take awhile for everyone to use the new name! Did you do many upgrades at prestart? Weve been to the office but it's all renovated and the items were on the floor still being organised! Haha, I still call it Scott Park (SPH) all the time! Can't get my head around calling it HomegroupWA... We did quite a few upgrades but nothing massively expensive really... We raised our ceilings in the alfresco and garage to 28c, same height as the rest of the house. We paid a lot for the kitchen to be the same as the display (since we were building the Classico version, the cheapest), plus little things like some feature tiles in the bathrooms, upgraded the HWS to instantaneous, etc. Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 18Dec 06, 2012 11:08 pm ok, i would be guessing its pretty similar to most builders specs then.. we adding in things now so we won't have to pay too much out of pocket.. i loved the above sinks in the displays for HGWA so we have added that to plan already.. little things like that.. i wouldn't mind having cupboard pantry and not bricked pantry (not quite sure how to explain it).. selections get confusing Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 19Dec 06, 2012 11:15 pm Laminate pantry saves space as the brick one has walls about 10cm thick which the laminate is only about 2cm. We have one and I had them extend it to the roof to make the most of the space, probably one of the cheapest upgrades! Re: Monte Carlo - Home Group WA - Corimbia Estate, Landsdale 20Dec 06, 2012 11:27 pm yes thats exactly what i want.. I'm glad you knew what i meant.. have a meeting on sunday to go over plans so might mention this. thanks fmac Home Group WA Monte Carlo Timeline on Page 1 Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 11128 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day.
