Assuming unit cycles on and off at a rate of 70/30 1.53x.7= $1.07 an hour to run Re: Brivis ice series ducted air conditioning 38CDA21A9 11Dec 02, 2012 8:21 pm kassan1973 Lets work out on 27 amps. 27amps x 230 volts = 6210 watts. 6210/1000= 6.21 kw 6.21 kw x lets say 22c per kwh = $1.36 per hour to run compressor. internal unit runs a 750watt fan 750/1000= .75 kw .75x22c = 16.5c $1.36 + 16.5c = round up to $1.53 an hour to run. Assuming unit cycles on and off at a rate of 70/30 1.53x.7= $1.07 an hour to run This is actually incorrect as you havent multiplied it by three for three phase. BUt since you have over dimensioned the running current it works out about the same anyway. Its easier to just find out the input power and work it out that way.
