It has more than 70% fixed on top. I can only open 30% at bottom. So I guess it is not good for airflow. You can have any amount open, even 100% of the window e.g 2100 x 850 single sash or 2 sashes. You can't sensible have a 2100 x 850 sliding window as the sash will tip as you move it.
