Timber delivered.
I can't imagine they will leave the timber sitting around for very long.
So they framers can't be to far away.

You never know! I think the rain will be the biggest delay at the moment. We were told that our bricking would start in the next few weeks. Steve went by the house tonight at 6pm on his way to Wangaratta and the brickies were just packing up, they've done all the way down the dead side (long side) of the house and the study at the front and about 20 rows high! I'll post up some pics tomorrow night!
Just a quick update.
Framing timber has all been cut to length today during some very bad weather.
Temp fencing has been installed including a padlock. They must be sick of things going missing.
Woohoo! After all these days of rain rain rain, we at last have some wood! Seems even more exciting than when the slab was poured. Met the chippies who seem like a nice bunch of blokes and found out we are indeed the first Rowland 41 in production! They reckon they are going to have to work pretty hard to complete the frame by Monday next week and keep on schedule! Fingers crossed it only rains over night!
Congratulation on being the "1st" Rowland Great that the frame is starting to take shape. It's pretty exciting isn't it!!!! I think you'll be surprised at how quick it goes up, we had a lower frame in three days
Todays Pics.

It's looking great, guys - I was wondering if you have a concrete floor as part of your Al Fresco, or am I looking at it wrong??? We have ....dirt!!!!! Did you have to request (and pay for) that, or is that how the Rowland comes (if it is there)?

Hi Petal
Yes that is a concrete floor in the alfresco and it is also in the entrance.
We were not expecting either, In fact the tender lists it as strip footings.
The reason is our slab is a waffle pod, and because they don't excavate for the footings they don't excavate for the alfresco.
The good news is that we didn't pay for it and it allows us to tile or timber at our leisure without having to worry about the mess in the short term.

Lucky you! Ours is built on a waffle pod slab as well (I think all PD houses are...?) but we have dirt at the front, and dirt at the back. That might make up -a little bit- for having to pay extra for the steel ballustrade you though you had included!
