Still keen to hear what people are doing for their's though as I might decide once I'm in that I want blinds there, especially since we'll be living on a golf course. Looking into getting some pricing for Moroka for all the house (bar the front facade, that will be rendered). My CSO didn't quite understand my question and only quoted the back wall which came in at about $1000. That's pretty decent.. I'm thinking that if the total comes in around $4k we might just bag and paint the house - saves the stress of slurry face bricks and we were intending to upgrade to the Austral Blackstone which is $4k anyway! I think we'll still brick the garage though with the Blackstone, it'll make the house look much nicer from the front. If we bag and paint we'll probably do it in a Monument type colour which I think would look pretty cool with a Windspray roof. Also got my CSO to quote stack stone for the two end pillars as opposed to the centre pillar and the quote came in $300 less than getting just the centre pillar done.. Considering we might do this and just get the centre pillar rendered and raked on every 7th join (like they were intending to do with the other pillars originally). Having two pillars in the stack stone means you get more bang for your buck I guess. What do you guys think? Gosh.. everytime I think that I have this sorted, we change our minds! So many options! I wanted Stackstone or tile on our pillars but the Rawson price was crazy, so thought we'd do it after handover. The original plans were fully bricked pillars at the colour appointment, but when they drew up the council plans the entire pillars were rendered on the plan and they did end up rendering it, which was a bonus. But the render looks really good and I think i've gone off the idea of stackstone. It hasnt been painted yet, so may depend on colour as we chose it specifically for another part of the render not knowing this will be the colour of the pillar. Re: Our Benham 33 journey 1320Nov 08, 2012 8:21 am Jen - I was thinking of having no window coverings & just doing a pelmet over the top like in the display home to finish it off. Our neighbours can't see into our house as they're lower down and a single storey and our alfresco is on the side. Built the Seaview 36 with Rawson Homes - Read about it on my blog http://lamaisondemorgan.blogspot.com.au/ Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7255 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
