The front fence is partly up. I got a number of quotes and the prices came back between $16K-$19K for a concrete fence with tubular inserts, automatic sliding gate and intercom. We'd already supplied electricity to the fence and installed one half of the intercom inside the house when we built. It sounded a bit much so we've decided to only get the concrete part done for now. That cost about $6K. We'll look at finishing it off down the track after we paint it. You must be so happy with it I'm just wondering how you went about getting your downlights installed after handover? Is there anything that needs to be done during the build? And do you know how much Fairmont charges for LED? Thanks! Re: Monaco after handover ~ Fairmont Homes ~ Front yard 471Oct 30, 2012 2:29 pm The front landscaping has been finished. The next challenge is keeping the new lawn alive in this hot weather. It's getting dry so we're having to water it multiple times a day until the roots reach the underground irrigation. We put Photinia Red Robin (it's behind the grasses) down each side of the yard to hide the fence like we did in the backyard... The LEDs themselves cost $115 each for the Brightgreen D900 LEDs but I'm sure they would've dropped in price. They started off being $140 each when we first looked at them. But then I have no idea what render for the nib out... So confused! I think Shale Grey and Grange would be fine together. For the nib wall, I think it depends if you want it to stand out or not. I looked at the external colours in your thread and I think they would look fine together. Also, consider your landscaping. It’ll add some more colour to the front of your house as well. Re: Building the Monaco ~ Fairmont Homes 479Apr 19, 2015 5:05 pm Hey did you do full strength wattyl dune render? It looks a lot darker then what a dune colour one roof would be etc. Theresa I received the final account today. No surprises there The painter has finished painting inside the house. He just needs to paint the eaves and do another coat on the downpipes. Unfortunately, showers are forecast for tomorrow so he thinks he might still be there Monday finishing off.
