Very tempted to use polished concrete with solar hydronic heating here in Canberra, has anyone gone down this path or thought about it? Would love to hear people's comments. Cheers Michael. We thought about it a little, or rather I did, but in the end it looked too expensive given that we are hoping not to need a lot of artificial heating with our passive solar design. We're still planning on polished concrete though . Sorry...not much help, am I. Edit: I just remembered that DeeElle looked into it quite a bit... https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... ic+heating She might have some thoughts? Thanks for the advice. Once the concreter put the slab framework in place I'll go there and check the dimensions and plumbing with the plans. DW knows JGK's building surveyor, so I'm also trying to get him to come and have look before they pour the slab. I might also get an independent inspection before I pay the base stage bill. I'll put some pictures on the blog once they finish it. I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
