With 20 plus year experiance i have i would say the door has never been fitted right!!!!! The door you have needs to be EXACTLY level, with no dips or bows in the bottom track. The same with the top track. OPEN DOORS FULLY, get a tape measure ,then measure, one side, floor to top of door INTERNAL. do the same in the middle. These measurements should be exactly the same. The door needs to be solid fixed at the head track,as this takes ALL the weight!!!!!!!!!! The steel support you have above is fine to fix into, just very hard to do for the average builder!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Also it is important to measure the diagonals across the whole outerframe,This insures the frame is square. I fit doors upto 6.5 metres wide exactly like yours and they are double glazed, so imagine the weight of these!!!!!!!. All of my installations work fine. Get a proper installer to have a look, builders fit doors,ok,but bi- fold doors are a bit of a art to do. And the builder's need to change to a top-hung does suggest either that there is a quality problem with the bottom hung door or the slab is out. Just to make sure of things, has your doors got sliding wheels at the bottom, if so its bottom hung. if not it is top hung. If this is the case then as required by the manufacturer the head section needs to be fixed. AS BY THE MANUFACTURER DID TELL YOU IS THAT RIGHT . let me know either way , not much gets pass me.
