I love the size as it gives me lots of room to work & lay out cookie sheets etc, but when clearing & cleaning it I can't reach from one side to the other, so I have to walk around it to get the dirty breakfast dishes and wipe it clean, which is a little annoying. I am hoping it works well, we have the 400mm breakfast bar and on one end there is 700mm that is cantilevered so we can sit around it like at a table. We are building our new house and I'm excited about our 60cm deep island. I thought that was standard size, although I've seen deeper narrower ones too of course.
