Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 19, 2012 11:44 am Hi, We have found a block of land 12.5 X 28 in the Highlands estate. We are quite keen on it, but I'm wondering if we are being ripped off. It's perfectly flat, not a massive size, untitled (coming in Jan apparently) and being charged 175K for it. To me the price seems really high, is this a normal price for this area? First home buyers so we are coming into this quite naive! Re: Looking to build in Highlands, Craigieburn 2Sep 19, 2012 11:52 am Looking at the blocks in the other estate the Aston you are looking between $170 plus to $195,000 for a small size, to me that sounds about right. I have friends who bought in the estate and got a good deal negotiating. Good luck Re: Looking to build in Highlands, Craigieburn 4Sep 19, 2012 12:10 pm Thats seems to be a reasonable price. We are just about finsihed building in the Bridgehaven part of Highlands. Which part is the land in you are interested in. Highlands seems to be a nice area with lots of good facilities. Hoping it lives up to expectations! Re: Looking to build in Highlands, Craigieburn 6Sep 19, 2012 12:25 pm Also, very keen on the NBN as apparently ADSL is not available in Highlands - we have been shown a Certificate of Practical completion from NBNco for our lot - and been told this means NBN will be available. I hope so! In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1686 Hi team, Im looking for a second hand sd4b monitor preferably white. 0 8900 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6848 |
