Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Aug 15, 2012 10:56 am Hi all, I've been putting off looking at window furnishings throughout the build process, but now I really need to start making some choices. I've got some fairly good ideas about the living areas, but I'm a bit stumped on the bedrooms. I know I want some decently thick curtains, but I have no idea on colour. I'm hoping you can help me out with some inspiration OK, so we have three bedrooms that will be carpeted with Smartstrand Design II in colour 'Outback'. Bron Re: Curtain colour advice needed 2Aug 16, 2012 2:23 pm Hi Bronj - if it was me I would keep it neutral and lightish. Maybe a a couple of shades darker than your wall colour. That way if you want to add some colour into the bedrooms you are no trying to work with too many tones. In my reno we had a lovely curtain colour called light rice. It was kind of like half strength hogs bristle (dulux colour) and with block out on the back was great at keeping out the light even though it was a light colour. I dont have any pics sorry. Goodluck Re: Curtain colour advice needed 3Aug 17, 2012 10:06 am Thanks Charnley! I think lightish sounds about right - in our old place we have fairly bold red curtains, but that's because everything else was so light, and they wouldn't look right with the darker carpet colour. I've been mulling over them, and am thinking maybe a very light green. Or maybe neutral with some green bits in it. Re: Curtain colour advice needed 4Sep 06, 2012 9:35 pm Curtain is also an important home decor in home and choosing a curtain color is easy just pick a color that make your house looks nice and I suggest to pick white or yellow curtain.
