This, like most builders depends on many factors. The size of the home and its inclusions and probably the area you build in. Ive heard of some Masterton houses going from Site scrape to keys handed over in only 2 months. This was only recently too. (Check the Masterton build threads.) The slowest part is the pre-construction stage. Organising colours, paperwork etc... Again, depending on many factors, this can take longer than some and also would be similar across the board. free will - Which of the 2 designs really grabs you? Which has the most pros and the least cons? Have you talked to either of these companies? You may not like who you deal with which is also a common problem in this game. Have you gotten base prices and looked into site works, basix and the inclusions you want? Hit them both up for a free tender including everything you want and see which one comes in first and best. Ask them about the changes you would like to do and get itemised pricing for everything. This way you can do some calculations and see what suits you best. Re: Masterton Tempo or Rawson Edge 15Aug 27, 2012 11:34 pm Prefer the Edge as the ensuite has much more wow factor and I like the upstairs lounge behind the wall. They gave us a design and we have made numerous changes, extended the house, moved the rooms around and they haven't charged us a cent. It may be worth your while to ask around, we have gotten exactly what we wanted (we have a narrow block too so we wanted to get the most bang for our buck).
