Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 5971Aug 27, 2012 8:50 pm Doreen_Kallara33 Hi All. Just wanted to ask, has anyone that's built with PD got 300x600 Porcelain tiles with a matte finish? If so, did you need to seal them due to marks behind left? Eg, a mop bucket circle on the tiles? Thanks in advance Hi Doreen_Kallara33 Many tiles on the market today do not require sealing, only natural products such as stone need to be treated in this manner. There is risk involved in sealing your tiles if it is not required, as it could change the colour of them. Our tile supplier, National Tiles, will advise at the time of selection if sealing is required or not – they have confirmed to me that the tiles you have in your home do not require sealing. Below is a link to an overall guide on how to look after porcelain tiles from the supplier of tile care products (Lithofin), recommended by National Tiles. I hope this helps with your issue, let me know how you go. Cheers Helen http://tools.cdkstone.com.au/index.cfm/page/productdetail/id/678/FZ-INFO Porter Davis Homes Questions? We’ve received many requests to offer window treatments to customers – and we’ve listened. We’re very excited to announce Birk Solutions as our new window treatment specialist. The Birk range of product, fabric and samples is available to view at Hopetoun Interiors in Port Melbourne – they’re located on the ground floor. There are a couple of ways you can access privilege pricing with Birk. 1.You can add window treatments to your building contract by selecting your window coverings during your Hopetoun Interiors selection appointment (they’ll be installed the same day as your appliances). OR 2.If construction is coming to an end or you have just moved into your home, you can flash your PD Rewards card for a discount. If you’ve only recently completed your Hopetoun Interiors selection appointments but would like to consider adding window treatments to your build, not a problem. Give your Colour Consultant a call to find out more. We understand that window treatments play an important role in privacy, light control and style for your homes – not to mention insulation and energy costs. And having this new partnership in place means you can now move straight into a stylish new home complete with quality window treatments. I wish now we had the opportunity to have had that opition a few months ago, great for colour selections being able to get The whole look! Agreed! Not to mention being able to bundle it all up in the contract for finance purposes! Re: Porter Davis homes 5975Aug 28, 2012 8:53 am Hubby just got a call from the site supervisor, this is the latest: We'll get out fixing invoice today (he told our BC that fixing was complete on Friday but hadn't had a chance 'authorise' the invoice or whatever, no skin off our noses). The painters have started, so if we visit this weekend we'll probably see quite a difference. We are having a window changed from clear to obscured, that will happen late this week or early next week. Tilers will be onsite late next week. For those who saw the picture of the cornice above the door in our blog: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ it was removed because it was curved ("like a big smiley face" ) and will be replaced in time for it to be painted. Very happy with all that! Re: Porter Davis homes 5976Aug 28, 2012 1:19 pm It would seem my complaint regarding PD not returning numerous phone calls was actioned. Thanks Helen. With a call from management and immediate follow up with trades booked in for next week. It's great to see someone was listening finally! Thanks PD - let's hope the two outstanding issues are fixed up.
