Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 346Aug 27, 2012 1:52 pm hi Bill, thanks for the info on flooring. I'll get on to them straightaway. I spoke to both iiNet and iPrimus and yes, they confirmed NBN is available. I need to check what infrastructure the builder has provided so we can make sure there are no additional costs to incur. Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 347Sep 01, 2012 9:44 pm Hi Chris, Our splash back was Donkey and floor was Brush Box, hope that helps and good luck with your colour selection! Arun, NBN is operational and definitely up and running! We've built a single story house with Porter Davis. This is the last item to tick off for the completion bond. Thanks! /Bill Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 350Aug 26, 2013 6:57 pm Hi all. Just like to warn everyone that the man at Harcrest told me next release will be $625K for a 12.5x28 block. Apparently, every time they release a new set of blocks, they jump the price up by $30K! So if this is in your price range I encourage you to start buying now! But for people who just want a nice block in a nice suburb, there are some very nice 700sqm+ knock down rebuild blocks in Wantirna and Wantirna South within walking distance to Knox and in zones of great schools for about $500K. I recently bought a house with a nice rectangualr 800sqm block at the rear of a quiet court near Templeton Primary School and are getting ready to knock down and rebuild with Metricon! Hope this tip was useful! Re: Building @ Harcrest, Wantirna South 351Sep 04, 2013 10:32 pm Looker13 Hi all. Hope this tip was useful! Hi Looker13 Thanks for the info. Earlier we were planning to buy at Harcrest, and we were quoted price range for a land starts from approx 425k to 600k for around 400sqm land size. Personally for me asking price was too much for such a small piece of land. Last year we ended up buying an old house in a quite court with land size approx 765sqm and guess what this property is just one lane after Harcrest estate. We started our process for knockdown and rebuild process in early 2013 and currently on final stages of building and hopefully will get keys by end of Oct 2013. Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations. Thanks 0 31622 Help!! I’m meant to start building soon and have only really just learnt about orientation. Im reading so much that no grass will grow on the heavily shaded south… 0 13724 Hi, thank you both for your feedback! Yes, unfortunately this is not the optimal orientation and we tried to make it work as much as possible given the land constraints… 3 9465 |
