If its an installation fault then it is up to them to fix it anyway, but most installation warranty's are around the 12 month mark anyway! Your options are really to get someone to come look at it and pay full price, or by another unit and replace the unit, you should be able to have a tech come out and give you a price on a repair for around $200, been awhile since I've had a service call though 2 Re: problemss with air conditioner 12Aug 15, 2012 5:22 pm Icing up of the condenser can happen when temps get below 7'C, but there is a defrost cycle that should kick in to remove any ice. Premature icing up can happen for a number of reasons one of which is that the system is short of refrigerant. You need an AC Tech to have a look at it to determine the cause. Its futile if you don't do this. This thread will go around in circles for ever more. Re: problemss with air conditioner 13Aug 17, 2012 9:33 am the air con bloke came out nothing to do with temp being to cold as he said should still work in temps cooler than we have here.He did some diagnoised on the air cond unit and it is a sensor problem the sensor is senses the room at 30 all the time the reason why i can then turn around and use cooling. So the sensor and board have to replaced were are waiting for parts the retailer is paying the bill but the part is only $80 so all good finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Re: problemss with air conditioner 14Aug 17, 2012 9:34 am and the unit is a sanyo in a airwell cover is seem that year it won the choice award for top air con a good unit finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Re: problemss with air conditioner 15Aug 22, 2012 7:03 am sorry why would I do that not a installation mistake. As I said the sensor that senses the temp has died the air con unit did the diagnosied itself.it is a invernter system and the retailer is paying the bill to fix it anyway. And the company that came out was our own guy anyway not one the retailer send finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Re: problemss with air conditioner 16Nov 24, 2012 10:19 pm well after waiting all this time for a part hn send there air tech down to look at the unit well they sao he was coming to look at replacing the unit but anyways they claim it is rodent damage,so it seems we will have to fix the repair bill of over $700.even thought we have had to air cond guys out that say no not rodent damage at all.only our word against theres I guess.unit still working just cuts out after about 10 minsand does not go back on and ideas. finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Re: problemss with air conditioner 19Nov 29, 2012 7:51 am Fridgy B STAR what does the rodent damage look like??
