If not, using kitchen sinks opens up more possibilities. We ended up using a wide kitchen sink that isn't as deep as a laundry trough and find not needing to reach in a bonus (besides in effect having a second kitchen sink, converting the laundry into a butler's pantry of sorts). Most kitchen sinks are only 180mm deep where most laundry bowls are around 250mm deep. I put in a 500mm round stainless Everhard bowl that is 270mm deep. We love it. Allows us to put a full sized bucket in to fill up and allows us to soak stuff with pleanty of room.
