12.30pm it is supposed to settle. I don't want to say too much til it actually happens. Delay after delay so I'm almost expecting something to go wrong. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 29Aug 12, 2008 10:33 am joles Thanks everybody. Hope he enjoys his KFC! When I questioned him about the KFC last night he said "Take me to the Flower Drum then!" KFC is fine!!!!! (Flower Drum for his 18th family dinner ) Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 31Aug 12, 2008 11:06 am We let our kids choose their birthday dinner......I really enjoy hearing what they pick. 5yo always picks Hogs Breath cafe (and orders a Chicken Schnitzel main size!), one will choose a Roast Dinner and Dessert all baked by Me, youngest will choose Macca's or KFC because he doesn't get it very often and the other will always say "what is easier for you Mum" - she's a good girl Happy at Home Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 33Aug 12, 2008 11:30 am joles Usually DS picks Smokin' Joes so KFC was a bit of a surprise actually. As long as he enjoys it, is all that matters. Face it, take away is much easier for you!! Cake is always the best part for me especially if it's Mud Happy at Home Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 34Aug 12, 2008 11:36 am DS doesn't eat sweet things really. The only sweet things are plain chocolate and plain sponge cake with ping icing from the supermarket. He doesn't eat anything else sweet. Makes for a cheap birthday cake but I always feel bad that it's his birthday cake but that's what he likes.

My niece only eats chocolate cake and plain icing, she is happy with that! My 5yo DD doesn't eat lollies at all, she loves chocolate though! She comes home from birthday parties, takes any chocolate out of the party bag and gives the rest to her siblings. That's how some kids are made. As long as they are happy with what they have ie plain sponge and ping (??) icing then it's fine. Happy at Home Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 36Aug 12, 2008 11:52 am How does he even know about the Flower Drum???? That's one sophisticated 10yo (well balanced by the KFC!!!!) And, yes, I'm with you.....KFC will do just fine , thanks....we have a house to pay for here!!!!
Actually, DS#3 also asks for Hog's Breath over MCD, but mainly b/c he loves the "Curly Fries" I have never actually had KFC! .....I've had plenty of McD, though.......I used to work there as a teenager!!!! Which reminds me my birthday season is next month so had better put my thinking cap on. Think DD 10yo would like a new surfboard.......there goes alot of $$$. DD 5yo is getting a desk for her future new room. Happy at Home Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 38Aug 12, 2008 2:40 pm Thanks to Google, I now know what the "Flower Drum" is Happy at Home Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 39Aug 12, 2008 3:00 pm House-To-Be Thanks to Google, I now know what the "Flower Drum" is DS knows about the Flower Drum as my ex took me there a few times when Gilbert ran it. It truly is wonderful food and amazing service and expensive. But I also found it was very relaxed and not at all pretentious. But I'm a real jeans and runners type so maybe all a bit lost on me. But far more relaxed there than a lot of so called good restaurants in Melbourne that are all flash and about being "seen" and then they serve you a plate of utter rubbish. Wish the Flower drum did take away but apparently that's only for Russell Gilbert. And the myth of people flying in from Hong Kong just for the Flower Drum's Peking Duck is apparently true. It's considered one of the world's great Peking duck dishes. Ohh now I'm hungry. But the way, I OWN LAND!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!! 1639m2 of LAND!!!!! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Land! Land! Finally land!! 40Aug 12, 2008 3:05 pm Well it's good thing that I don't like Chinese then Apparently there is a three month waiting list!
1639sqm - fantastic! What a great size yard you are going to have!!! Do you have a pic of your house sited on the block? If so, you must post it! Enjoy your KFC, hope DS had a great day at school. Happy at Home Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers. I tried… 0 6638 Need advice on the backyard plan above. Should I excavate and cut all of the dirt to level with the house slab or semi-excavate as per photo above?
