Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In Photo Fest p14 273Jul 11, 2012 7:29 pm Looks great!!! Love so much. The plantation shutters look brilliant, your bathroom is great (and I love the colour of your towels too!!). That LED strip looks fantastic, much better then downlights. You're not exaggerating when you say you don't have much linen! I thought that I didn't have much, but I have tonnes compared to you!!! Well done, not surprised you are so happy Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In Photo Fest p14 274Jul 11, 2012 8:07 pm What a beautiful house you must be rapt with it! I love all of those niches and your bathroom looks fab.....your above bench basins look great....we,ve gone for those as well....love the plantation shutters Your carpet looks similar to what we have chosen.... Have fun in your new house Cheers Mel Building on 9 acres Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In Photo Fest p14 276Jul 12, 2012 2:58 pm Awwwh thank you everyone. We think it's but it's nice to hear all your comments as well. Alt0160 - the LED strip light above the kitchen was our sparkie's suggestion. He took us to another house they were building and shows us the effect. Hubby loved it although I had my heart set on pendants. But I'm really pleased with it now and the light it throws is brilliant. In fact we have LED everywhere. We were a bit worried about the hall which is about 6m high, but 2 LED down lights are plenty to light it. I think the brand is IMLEC. Broom, we saw the Niche in a show home from another builder and loved the idea. The mirror is so big that people think there's another room off that side of the hall! Melanie, sounds like you have great taste Mclaren - wine has been ordered today so racks will be full very soon. What you didn't notice is that on the far right of the pantry picture you can just see some wine bottle tops - the built in rack is pretty full Greenfish - we gave a load of linen to the Salvos before we moved and I haven't re-stocked yet. But I'm married to someone who is anti-hoarding so we clear out regularly. Just with it would stop raining so we could make progress on the outside. It looks fantastic. You must be so pleased. And the speed has been excellent! Can't wait to see the outside! Enjoy your new home! Our building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53911 Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In 278Jul 21, 2012 4:57 pm Ruth - have I even said anything about your beautiful home? I think I must have read it whilst on a night feed and completely forgot to post. It is absolutely stunning, you must be so thrilled. How is it living in it - does it feel real? I particularly like this view where you can see the different slanting ceilings/slanting window at the front etc. Hope the past few weeks have been lovely and relaxing for you and you have been enjoying your gorgeous new home Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43846 Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In Photo Fest p14 279Jul 21, 2012 5:20 pm your house looks lovely, you must be so happy Settlement 1/2/12 New Shed 23/3/12 Slab poured 27/3/12 Frame complete 4/5/12 Roof complete 1/6/12 LOCKUP 29/6/12 Our new build blog http://kareenhillsownerbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Moved In Photo Fest p14 280Jul 21, 2012 5:47 pm Thanks guys. Yes we are loving living here. The house suits us perfectly and we just love being in it. Really pleased with all the choices we made and we both love cooking in our beautiful kitchen. However it's not been very relaxing so far as it seems every day we have someone coming either to deliver something, do some extra work we left until after handover - or it's the plumber who has been back to fix a few problems. Nothing major, just dripping taps, oh and a blocked toilet Landscaping is in full swing with most of the fencing done, retaining walls finished and now waiting to finish the planting and turf. Our lovely neighbor did the fencing between our two houses and also did our back fence which saved quite a bit. For the rest we've contracted a lovely couple who do all the landscaping for our builder and so far we're delighted with everything - i'm enjoying being their apprentice Hoping to have it finished next week then I promise more photos.
