Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering Re: Timber look Porcelain tiles - Melbourne 3Jun 26, 2012 9:50 am A lot of clients believe these tiles are only new on the market. We have been importing our timber look tiles from Spain since we started 15yrs ago. Over that time they have evolved into amazing replication of timber. to such a degree that in our showroom we have a sign on the tiles "Yes it is a Tile".
Regards Charlie Re: Timber look Porcelain tiles - Melbourne 4Jun 26, 2012 6:28 pm I went looking for these in Adelaide and couldn't find them anywhere except italia ceramics and they were around $130sqm. I thought they were new to the market as well. Let us know how you get on with them. Regards Charlie we had a look at a display home that had them last weekend. The sales guy told us they got really dirty really quickly so we were turned off.. I too thought they were a new product so will have to look further into them. Don't suppose anyone knows of a supplier in WA? Thanks. : : : : : : : : : : : : 2014 | Time to move to the country 2012 | Our Build with Dale Alcock https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61943 Re: Timber look Porcelain tiles - Melbourne 6Jul 13, 2012 8:46 pm Hi Beachside Tiles Plus has some, saw them in their Southwest Store last weekend also Trimviews in Bunbury have them so I am sure there would be quite a few places in Perth with them. Re: Timber look Porcelain tiles - Melbourne 7Aug 27, 2012 2:38 pm I've never heard of these before, but just did a google images search - some of these look fantastic! Beachside, why would these get dirtier any quicker than any other regular tile? Surely $135/sqm isn't substantially more than a decent timber or bamboo floor. Re: Timber look Porcelain tiles - Melbourne 8Sep 06, 2012 10:42 am Our Timber Look Floor Tiles from Spain range from $72sqm up to $110sqm. When looking at any floor tile look for movement in the glaze (not a solid colour) - this helps hide dirt on a tile. Movement is your friend. Look for tiles that are easy to clean but just as important you dont have to clean them all the time. The beuty of the timber look tiles that they vary not only in print from tile to tile but also in shade. This replicates the timber look but also makes them very very practical in how much they hide. Cheers Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets. Looking at the Boston Oak ones, it appears that the colour varies significantly… 0 9564 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 16006 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11647 |
