Tengals , nice to here you will be moving forward after such a long wait , it was shocked to hear that Councils are such a PIA.. We went to our Color a Appointment yesterday ... Lucky we went to Cosham 3 times before the color appointment and select all most all the stuff we needed pre hand , so we were pretty much be able to stay under the budget .. but the bad news is our Land developer had to postponed the title registration for 3 months due to Vicroads not ready to build the Entrance to the site ... frustration but cant do much ... now is the waiting game ..... we will be signing the contract on next Thursday with henley , we are been told we will not gona have a tender instead going straight to Contract due to the FHBG expiration ... Whilst I like the brick itself, I have reservations about the contrast of the mortar. I wish there was a deep coloured mortar. Henley only have 2 like many other builder; grey and off white. I wish there was a soft brown mortar colour that won't stand out so much. I called Cosham and spoke to our colour consultant and Administrator. I changed our garage. $500 extra. The plot thickens! Re: Building the Sahara Q1 by Henley - Our Blog 135Jun 22, 2012 1:08 pm ok update, so the developer has the final drawings again for approval next week and from what they have had a quick look all looks OK!!!!! fingers crossed. the past 48 hours have been hectic and Henley although some things still baffle me with simplicity, they have come to the party pretty well..... I just wish that they wouldnt leave it to the last minute all the time. Anyway, so fingers crossed for developer approval next week! Re: Building the Sahara Q1 by Henley - Our Blog 137Jun 25, 2012 8:54 am well fingers crossed for the developer meeting this wednesday, looks like everything is in order... the developer informed me that they approve during the meeting on the spot and notify the builder wednesday afternoon. with that the case, Im wondering how long until we get a site start? Henley informed me that permits have been applied for, but the developer approval makes up part of the permit. not sure exactly what that means in the way of time frames. I had been told by others that the bigger builders, apply for permits, get surveyors to sign off on permits etc, they are there waiting, and once the developer approval is granted, they add it to the doc and in some cases are ready to build within a day or two. Can't wait to see pictures of your progress. Not sure about approvals or permits but all I know is I have been they will start building within 30 days of receiving everything. Loan approval , demolishing (if you are redeveloping), council approvals but how long these process takes I don't know.
