They are only two years old and I like the colour but I hate that they are on a rail system that is visable. We are currently renovating and will now view these curtains (which are in our formal sitting room) from the open plan kitchen/dining. I love the look of timber rod and ring curtains but have been told by the local drapery people that the length of these (approx. 4m) makes this difficult. I think pelmet's are a bit dated but think a pelmet would probably look better then what we have currently. I have a lot of fabric left over from the curtains so could upholster the pelmet but would that look daggy? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks Re: Need advice for curtains on rail 2Jun 07, 2012 9:47 am What about a timber pelmet to match the windows? Re: Need advice for curtains on rail 3Jun 07, 2012 9:56 am We've got pelmets in the bedroom and retreat and they look great ... I think it would be perfect for your situation too esp in the same fabric. We also have a wide track in the family room - I think it's called an evo track which would also look great for a more modern look (the one on the right is 5 metres wide) ... I too love the look of those curtains going to ceiling height however we have 3m ceilings and the curtains were only made to top of door. We are actually going to paint the exposed timber white so going for a more modern look. I have done some more research and am now toward a brushed chrome decorative rod with rings like this.... http://www.justdraperyrods.com/productc ... tegory=207 What do you think?
