Walk in robe layout -opinions please

What are these high heels you speak of?

I'm wanting hubby to knock me up something simullar to these ikea shoe cabinets for the garage.

In the past I have driven half way to work/daycare and my DD kindly reminded me...'what about my shoes mum?'

Keeping the main shoes we wear in the garage is the most convenient for us. Not tripping over them in the doorway is even better.

Maybe in the second pic make the middle long hanging a double hanging space-and then the two either side full length?

Yeah that's what I sort of meant when I said have 6 short two long, swap thos around, so it still looks balanced,
Poor jodge and I are the same, not many clothes or shoes, so need real women to guide us

When I sell this house I want the woman to buy it for the kitchen and the WIRz

Speak for yourself gogo. . . I've got STACKS of clothes. . . it's just that I only FIT INTO about 5% of them. . .

I had this one in our last house and it looked nice and much better than the shoes in the entry. I could put a vase on top and keys in the top drawer. We had it in white.

Jodge - that plan looks amazing!

Gogo - I love the way it is balanced. But I agree most people might like more long hanging space. How about on the long side where you have half then full then half hanging space, changing it to full half then full, so it is still balanced, but in reverse. You can put shoe shelves under the long hanging space to use the space more if you like.. Hm, your robe is giving me some good ideas... How long are you thinking of living in your place (meaning, how imminent is resale in terms of building for your own needs vs resale?).

Ok, my original thought was to have two sections long, so dearest jodge, can you swap the three middle sections around, (on the long wall) so two long and one double hanging.
Now the only other thing that I'm not sure about, is the cupboards/drawers when you walk in. Now her jodgeness originally suggested having all the shelves behind doors, so shoes etc behind closed doors, then the short wall could be all drawers/shelves/half hanging dressing area.
So for those with lots of shoes, would you prefer your shoes on display or behind closed doors :th:
