Short of having a removable panel in the shower there is no way we can have isolation valves for the mixer. The pipes run in the floor space of a 2 story & then up inside the shower wall. Even if I did have an access panel, apart from the waterproofing problems THAT would cause, I'd have a possible source of leakage from the isolation taps nicely hidden in a wall space.
