Is it a circular indent in the roof like this? http://www.diychatroom.com/f101/drywall ... ng-138065/ Metricon Riva 33 - http://herlihy-riva.blogspot.com Site start 15/03/2010 - Handover 23/12/2010 9 months and 8 days (284 calendar days) from site start to handover Re: Porter Davis home - Ceiling screws popping through 5Apr 11, 2012 3:07 pm +1 with Adam as far as fixing, only thing i'll add is try to remove the screws that have popped before plastering. You should be able to get the plaster out of the end with a screwdriver. If you can't get them out a firm tap with a hammer will do the trick. Cheers Re: Porter Davis home - Ceiling screws popping through 6Apr 19, 2012 4:12 pm Hi All, Thanks for the replies. Adam as far as i'm aware no one has been up in the roof so i'd have to go with incorrect installation especially considering where some of the screws are popping out. Btherl - yes some do look like the pictures in the link and others are no so obvious especially where there is a circular indent around the screw about 10cm in diameter. Looks like we will be putting in a few more screws before we repaint. Cheers, Paul Ain't that the truth! We used to have a tile roof and had it replaced with colorbond and suddenly everything throughout the entire house sounds louder! 4 6636 Sam There is a much stronger glue than liquid nails. It's called T Rex and will stick your timber to the concrete. Cheers Simeon 1 1543 |
