Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Quote - Double Storey - PD 4Apr 10, 2012 10:50 am kinduka Hi There, Received a quote from PD - Heathcote 36 (Double storey). 280k base price & no flooring except wet areas (bathrooms/toilets only, I guess). Site cost 30k. Giving me 15k discount? Lots of promotions trying push through & included in the quote even without asking. Appreciate advice. Thanks all, Sira Hi kinduka, I’m pleased to see you on the forum and that you are considering building with PD. The Heathcote is a really lovely design and quite a grand home. It’s great to see that you’ve had some feedback with regards to your questions about costs and inclusions, there are many things to take in consideration when looking for a builder and if you’d like any further help with answering any other questions I’d be delighted to help you or have your Sales Consultant follow it up with an call or email. Please feel free to drop me a private message at any time. Good luck. Cheers, Ebony Porter Davis Homes Questions? PD is reluctant to give me a cost break down on base price nor site cost. Simply we are getting a house for 280k without flooring and many more essentials. In essential no one can live in that house after paying 280k. Trying to hide real costs with promotions. Allowing 30k for site cost is too much. I am planning to do a knock down build & given a establised suburb, 30k is over the top. Also not quite clear what are they doing for 30k? Any advice/comments appreciated. Thanks, kinduka Re: Quote - Double Storey - PD 7Apr 12, 2012 12:24 pm kinduka Dear All, I understand site cost is varying from builder to builder. Thanks, kinduka Hi kinduka, Site costs to vary from block to block, to give a site costs estimate, we’d need to visit the block you’re considering and complete a site inspection. This is the only way we can give you an accurate estimate to help with your budget because every block is different.
