When we renovated our previous house we glued the mirror on to the tiles. It looks like they've put silicone around the mirror to waterproof it. The only downside to having the mirror to the vanity is the water marks ... you don't notice them so much on tiles but still it's easy to clean! We also thought they would be going to the ceiling as that is what the original quote said (but they don't) so you might want to think about that too ... This pic of the display home shows what the mirrors look like in the ensuite. Re: Building the McLaren by Dechellis 1267Mar 29, 2012 2:07 pm We have mirrors to the vanity and to the ceiling.. We notice the watermarks but i find it quite easy to clean and manage.. We had the mirrors put in after the tiles as we had to have a side splash back bit for some stupid reason. Anyway apparently 'people' dont like the reflection you get in the mirror of the tiles so they put a strip of silver frame around the edge to make up the gap the tiles created and then siliconed it. Not at all what we planned but we are ok with it now.. Sorry to hijack Mclaren, thought this might be useful.. The water splatter is more visible but very easy to clean with an Enjo glass cloth... I was reading earlier on an older thread that some people use the methylated spirits to clean the glass/mirrors - I want to give it a go and see how well it works. Did any of you tried it? Well done. Now, just drive down the street and complete one here for me The pergola looks great & makes such a warming cozy difference! Mclaren I recently completed a mini makeover in one of the spare rooms as it was looking very boring in pink and white. Thanks to inspiration from H1 I thought that black and white would look good. So after a bit of shopping around I found what I needed and transformed the room for $150 ... and then added my own artwork Before Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ... and after Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and here's the pergola ... from this ... Did you choose standard brickies mortar, or go with brighton lite yellow or white sand? We really like the overall look of your bricks. I think you get ten sets. The blue, you wet and wipe over and then the white you leave dry and it comes up perfect. I use it for our mirrors, in the shower and the glass splashback in the kitchen They are GREAT!!!
