OK,
For large sealable doors go with a triple stacker\double sliding door like the house has. Should be able to get a fair amount of width to get things thorugh and it will have rubber seals. Yuo could also add similar folding doors to the end of the garage giving the ability seal off or open up that area. Even a couple of double sliding doors would mean a clear path through the middle and room to stack things on either side. If you want to keep the smells in store 1 from getting into the garage the best way is to use external doors between the two as the rubber seals will block it all out.
I like the idea of symetry between the study and living area at the entry, but another way to acheive it would be to have a single door on the study openeing in and to the front so when half open you'd only be able to see the cupboards. We have our study beside the entry with no doors, one of the reasons my junklives in a spare bedroom instead. But we arranged our laundry door to open as above so you can't see the washing machine. I'd push for the double doors as you can close them off hiding it all away and keep a really nice entry way look with it along with the bonus robe width. Hopefully you can sell the balanced look being better and the larger rooms with it, that will help resaleabililty too.
An option for the island is to move the cooktop to it and put the sink on the back bench. Check out A&E's build which used a Henley option. It puts a nice area for alcohol and spices above the sink and below the cupboards. I really like that idea but here is ours to give you some idea of space:

As to the changing in the middle of the bedroom with the larger robe size you end up getting changed in there. Call it a dressing room and put a stool in the middle. Like this:

If you choose to not have a sliding door on the master to outside you will need to keep the entry straight otherwise you'll never get a bed in there. So pick one or the other to make it work.
And yes the rain head is mine, must be a woman thing for the spary head one
