Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Critique my Plans 2Mar 09, 2012 2:26 pm I'm assuming that North is to the rear RH side? Is there really a need for two showers downstairs? Otherwise I'd look at turning the powder room into the ensuite by moving the toilet to where the small linen cupboard is ( with access to the toilet from the hall as well as the ensuite)and using the ensuite space in the Master-encompassing the current WIR but making it the width of the Master but shallower would add space to the Master itself... Yes I was debating the need of that 2nd shower upstairs, I could probably delete it but would prefer to keep the pwdr room with toilet and perhaps just make it smaller and somehow make the WIR and/or Ensuite a bit bigger. Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=57639 Re: Critique my Plans 5Mar 09, 2012 2:40 pm It also allows you to move the Master door down opposite the stairs-giving more wall space to the meals area. Use a lockable cavity slide between toilet & ensuite..still have a great size ensuite with double vanities and mor robe space! Powder room vanity then creates nook in ensuite for toilet to be tucked away out of direct sight... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ By the way- I like the rest of your plan! Avoid the * ahem* noise factor of people using ensuite & powder room! Plucka-swap the vanity & toilet position in that powder room because it would be too squeezy to get past loo to the vanity otherwise. Back the toilet onto the common wall with the ensuite shower....I like!
