Yeah the guttering is most of the way around the house, and there is safety railing on the roof... so we're guessing they're going to tile this week

Ours is more narrow and long though, where yours looks more, well, wide and long! Ours is 15.5m x 22m including the alfresco and garage. The extended garage and alfresco actually add quite a bit of visual size to the house, if you count those it is over 30sq. But the house itself is about 12 x 22m (from memory!) We nearly fell over when we saw the place yesterday. Tiles are done, they've started the bricks, windows are all in, wiring, water and the start of the heating cooling system is all in. We'll be at lock up this week they're telling us! Below are some more pics for those who like them (I've posted smaller images this time to not upset those on dialup!) Congratulations, you must be so rapt. Nice bricks, what colour is the render above them at the front going to be? Assuming there will be render there? Re: Urbanedge Larne - Letter box trouble! (updated Sep 7) 52Jul 21, 2008 3:09 pm I always wondered how to spell rapt ...and yes we are My wife was jumping around like a school kid. We're both VERY excited.

Sorry forgot to scan the original plan for comparison but if you see Alan's plan, his is still pretty much the same as the original. That was really quick! I can imagine your wife jumping happily (just like me whenever I see real progress to the house! ) You've got very nice colour choices... and nice bricks too! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Dune will look nice with them by the way We had considered it! We were tossing up whether to leave the portico exposed or rendered. In the end, we decided to go the render, only because we weren't sure about the brown with the grey... still unsure which way we should've gone... it was a coin toss really... in the end my wife rigged the toss i think WFN Hi all, sorry for the slow response. My wife is very jealous of your modified WIRs! You'll certainly have a lot more space in the other two bedrooms having moved the laundry out. Your new design is actually quite similar to the Larne 003 (although it trades a bit of space for an extra bedroom) if you haven't checked it out. Apparently a lot of people find a prep room "excessive" D How have Urbanedge taken the number of changes? Which office are you dealing with? We dealt with L and K in Tarneit....both wonderful people!! Thanks to everyone for the feedback! I think we've been extremely lucky so far. Considering we only started this whole amazing process in January, we're just over the moon! We really can't thank everyone here enough for all their stories and information. It's all made our process a whole lot easier! So thanks.....no we just have to make it to November!! Alan and Thuy in Melbourne Building a second time! Re: Urbanedge Larne - Letter box trouble! (updated Sep 7) 59Jul 21, 2008 11:09 pm Hi guys,
The house is coming along nicely and fast too, we should've set up a race between us we were lucky as well, it's only been 2 months from the start date now and we're already at fixout stage. Good luck... Start: 15 May 08, Current: Handover inspection 19/09 after that, the house is ours!! Visit our blog: http://loveourgerbera.blogspot.com/ Re: Urbanedge Larne - Letter box trouble! (updated Sep 7) 60Jul 21, 2008 11:39 pm Yeah quite a few of changes there. The laundry room in the middle of the house sort of put me off a bit so I tried to move it to the back of the house. I dont need a laundry room that big anyway. In doing this, I need to change the bathroom a bit and put the WC in.
I did find the prep room a bit excessive so that's gone for me. I also didn't like how Bed 2 exits to the kitchen so I close it off with a powder room which now is big enough to have a shower as well. The 2 access to the ensuite were also a bit excessive for me so i close off the one near the entrance and lengthen the bench with no cupboards underneath so i can put my laundry basket and rubbish bin there. the original WIRs was also a turn off for me. I went to a Porter Davis display a while ago and I saw this WIR thing which is built behind the bed which I think is an awesome idea. Good thing Urban Edge is very flexible with the plan but of course there is a cost for them to redraw and reengineer the plan. but still worth it to me. So far I've only been dealing with the Sales guy S in point cook. He's nice and very helpful. Please keep us updated with the progress and good to see everything is going so well for you guys.
