Your colour selections look really lovely, very impressed. If you dont mind me asking, I am just wondering how much of what you chose was from Dennis standard range and for those things that were not in the standard range were the people there able to tell you roughly how much extra each thing would be and did you find the non standard things reasonably priced? Your colour selections look really lovely, very impressed. Hi JPC, our house is anything from standard, I am sure our sales consultant thinks I am high maintenance I have altered the plan heaps, flipped the bedroom and garage, changed the facade completely, moved rooms around etc, they are really flexible. We also got a list of all the upgrades from the display house, this listed prices for each item, gives you an idea of what isn't standard in the house. In our colour consultation we upgraded from standard carpet and painting was extra due to choosing white roof & arch's, as standard they only let you pick say the wall colour and then 1/4, 1/2 strengths for arch's and roof, I love white so had to pay the extra. I know what I like and am pretty fussy but I was happy with most items that are standard. We had 3 quotes before we paid our deposit so we had all the changes made before so we knew roughly what the contract will come in at. They are also happy to take things out so you can organise yourself if you can do it cheaper etc. I just purchased a 900mm oven for under half price and some vanity bowls to match my bath which were cheaper than there standard ones so will have them deleted after contracts. I will try to scan a copy of the floor plan today. Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 10Feb 05, 2012 11:18 am Fantastic plan and colors Mac25, massive pantry, what size is it? Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 11Feb 05, 2012 1:53 pm Thanks, 3m x 2.3, it was originally half pantry half WIL, but used games room from original plan where Bed 4 is and added WIR, WIL & bigger play room as 4 family/games rooms was to many. Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 12Feb 08, 2012 8:40 pm Hi Mac25, Your house looks great, lovely colours. We are thinking of building with dennis... how long did it take from deposit stage to signed contract. They are saying about 2.5months to us which seems like a long time. TIA Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 13Feb 08, 2012 9:32 pm 3 months will be the end of Feb and they are in the process now, we have made heaps of changes though with the plan so this hasn't helped but I believe 3 months is about standard. It does seem like a long time but we started almost 6 months ago, it took 3 months to get to deposit Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 14Mar 03, 2012 3:26 pm Hi Mac. i like your colour choices. we built the hartley and we selected homestead tan brick initially but then went with a selkirk brick (the brick selection did my head in!) anyway we ended up selecting - moonshadow in the 50mm - came up beautiful. Kitchen is similar colours we chose asian night which is also a dark brown with a black strak running through it. Hi Whitey1, contract signing will be this week so need to make a final decision, we drove past a house being built with Austral Homestead Tan but it has natural mortar and doesn't do it much justice, right next to it was a Boral Mocha with off white mortar and I think I would prefer this as it has more character in each brick with black bits etc. I am totally over bricks Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361! 16Mar 11, 2012 8:53 pm A few changes to our colour selection a similar tile to my original porcelain 600 x 600 floor tiles just heaps cheaper. Also changed caesarstone to Ocean Foam including the kitchen.
Wattyl Smooth Horizon 1/2 strength with Wattyl Classic White arch's and Ocean Foam stone http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/t485/nicjones25/IMG_0247.jpg http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/t485/nicjones25/IMG_0246.jpg Re: Our colour selection for our Hartley 361 - Contracts Sig 17Mar 13, 2012 5:35 pm Your selections and colours look really good! Re: Our colour selection - Slab & Frame & Bricks 20Jun 07, 2012 4:15 pm Thanks, it has been a long process but going so fast now, windows won't be delivered until the 25th so I am guessing it may slow up, roof frame and possibly tiles first due to our parapet walls
