We are just finishing off the last touches to our electrical, I think ours has come in at about $2500. This is without the downlights as we will be doing all oof these later. Does anyone know how long it takes after you get approval from council to when they actually start? Also I have heard it takes about 4 months to build is that correct??? Thanks Susie We are building the Symphony MBTF @ Spring Farm, Camden Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2378Jan 17, 2012 12:13 pm We were out of Council on the 16/12/11 and our pegout was ordered last Friday. I'd say we are still a a couple of weeks away from our CC. Then they have 20 days to start the actual construction. Construction time is obviosuly dependant on many things, one being the weather. Our PCC has said they are averaging around 4 months at the moment. I've seen houses in my estate go up in 3 months but then you here the stories on here of 12 months plus. The M contract is 26 weeks so anything less than that and its a bonus I guess. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2379Jan 17, 2012 12:52 pm Hi all, We are waiting on things to start, very unpatiently let me tell you Called our SS for the first time yesterday to ask when they will start and he said they hope to get an excavator on the block "at the end of this week or early next week". By my calculations they have to start by next Monday, that is the end of the 20 working days from when they got full validation. So we will see. Praying for no rain this week (actually no rain for the next 5 months would be good ) Quote: Our PCC has said they are averaging around 4 months at the moment. We can live in hope, I will be very very happy if thats how it works out. If I worked it out properly, our 130 working days contract ends on June 30. Completion earlier than that would be bloody marvelous because our lease is ending in May Good luck everyone with your progress. I have a couple of questions for those who have already gone through the "Presentation Plan Appointment" process: 1. External colour selections Apparently this should be completed for the Presentation Plan Appointment? Is this what everyone found? Also what sort of help did others get with the external colours? The brick people were able to help with brick, roof, gutter, windows and fascia but when it came to render colour they mentioned it was not really their job? How did everyone else go with their external colour selections and in particular if you have render did you get any help with colour selection? Are others using Taubmans? 2. Structural changes Apparently we are not suppose to make any further structural changes? But we haven't even signed off on the contract so I can't understand how this could be the case? Any thoughts? Hope to hear from someone (anyone??!) soon! Building ??? with ??? 4 17121 Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
