Hi all (and happy new year!),
I'm contemplating what sort of splashback/surround to have around my kitchen window, and I'd appreciate some input. As you can see in the images below, I'm having a glass splashback behind the cook top (shown in green). However, on the adjacent wall there is a large window with a 100mm gap between the sill and the benchtop (shown in blue) and the glass splashback. I would also like to have the splashback/upstand follow around the wall that is flush with the breakfast bar overhang.
Of course, one option would be to have the window surrounded in the same glass splashback that will be on the back wall, however, I'm concerned that this might look a bit odd. Another option I've considered is having caesarstone around the window (to match the benchtop), or alternative go for a plain white tile. FYI I will be having white two-pack cabinets, Caesarstone Haze (very pale grey) benchtop and the glass backsplash will probably be a duck egg blue or a mint colour, and I'm thinking of having it in slumped glass to add a bit of interest.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
