Love this house
Has a great layout. Probably the best single house going around haha. Does anyone know how many years PD has had the Camberwell 29 listed?

My block is 16X32 with a 3m easement in the back. My PD salesperson told me it won't fit and I can't have it . I am more than annoyed as I purchased the block believing I can build the Camberwell. Can anyone out there tell me the size of their block that they are building their Camberwell on and the setback requirements. I truely think my salesperson has got it wrong and want to deal with someone else. Also if anyone would recommend their PD sales person to me that would be good too. You can Pm me or post here. Thanks and I hope everything goes well for you. the camberwell is around 24.5 meters long add the measurement of your easement that gives you a combined length of 27.5 meters & if you need a 5 meter set back then you have a length of 32.5 i think the salesman is right & even if they could build it i would hate to imagine the site cost for them to build right on the easement not to mention that you would only have 3 meters of back yard cheers rocket We had the same problem! We put a deposit on land and the package include the camberwell! Well when the drew it up they relaised it didn't fit! I then said well what does?? I then said well we dont want anything and give us the deposit back and they told us about an estate 5 mins down the road which would save us $30k off the land price - only thing was it didnt fit the camberwell still! So we thought about it and really the camberwell didn't work for us as we dont work from home and dont need an study/office which lead us to pick the Forestdale 27! Because of PD snuff up they offered a a flooring plan for $3k for tiles and carpet which was the best deal at the time. To me it looks like PD didnt do there homework correctly when offering the Camberwell and certain size lots! Dont give up and if the Camberwell still doesn't fit ask them to show you show homes that do. I think the Forestdale is discontinuing after 2011? Keep is posted! Forrestdale 27 Land Titled:4/11/11 Building Permit:4/11/11 Site Start Date: 16/11/11 Slab Date: 01/12/11 Frame Date:05/12/11 http://hordefamilyhome.blogspot.com/ Re: PD Camberwell 29 219Dec 22, 2011 10:47 am You can apply to build on the easement and if it’s approved then the Camberwell would fit. 24.5m for the house + (assume depending where your two neighbours next you are situated) 5m set back from the road leaves you with 2.5. Building on an easement is a lot of mucking around and costly, this is probably why PD doesn’t want to build. Re: PD Camberwell 29 220Jan 03, 2012 8:48 am Hows everyone finding their camberwell during these hot melbourne days?? our evap cooling is seems to be handling the heat with no worries. The only windows i open are the kitchen window, family room, study then the bedroom later on in the day. |
