Re: Plantation/Henley Emperor - In and exhausted! 265Dec 14, 2011 1:45 pm there is now a complete light in the study after Mr BBR spent about an hour painstakingly individually screwing in the rods and then applying the little circles on the end to turn it the spectacular feature light that it now is. We started off with just the bare fitting and bulbs.... Re: Plantation/Henley Emperor - Interior and shed pics 267Dec 14, 2011 3:06 pm As promised here is an update on the progress of the shed aka ManCave. The slab went down early last week, we also opted to get a 6mx6m pad put out the front of it to allow for additional parking. Here is the finished product: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and then came the rain, we had 4 days of pretty heavy falls which meant the construction of the shed was delayed for a bit, but there was a bit of a break in the weather on Saturday meaning that the guys could come a do a couple of hours prep work, then come Monday things were full steam ahead with the frame being laid out and by the end of the day the outside frame and 2 walls were up. The rest of the walls went up along with some of the roof on Tuesday, we opted for skylights to help with providing some natural light since there are no windows. I'm currently in discussions with our local council regarding mine.....Wouldn't think it would be an issue on 5 acres of land I would love some ponies! Unfortuantely the only ponies allowed in the shed are the horsepower type in the cars With 5 acres you would think they wouldn't have any issue at all with your shed, what size are you trying to get approved? Ours is 9x11m but we are allowed to go up to 150m2 by Council Re: Plantation/Henley Emperor - Interior and shed pics 271Dec 19, 2011 4:55 pm The shed is now complete and we spent the weekend moving stuff in, our ride-on mower with trailer proved very handy moving the heavy items like left over tiles. We are happy with the way it has turned out and the roller doors ended up being a close match to the sliding doors and alfresco wood stain which worked out better than we expected.
