I dont really care, its the garage. Hi humble, I'm not too fussed about it either, but try telling that to my mrs ! It's good to know that they do the same in all houses. Have you got any pics cause I'd love to see how it looks after everything's finished.. It's interesting that they are plastering all sides, our last house we built they only plastered the wall that was shared with the internal wall and the rest was exposed brick. Actually same with our current rental. I say the less plaster the better, it gets knocked around the way we use a garage with bikes etc leaning up against walls and young kids etc. I'd rather have exposed brick than holes in plaster.....I have noticed other people have neat clean garages though so I might not be the norm Re: Porter Davis homes 3833Nov 29, 2011 8:42 am baronx eli-kay123 Hi baronx, Our PD garage looked the same as yours at that stage. I drove past last night and now it has all been finished off with paint and there is some kind of wide border around the bottom perimeter of the garage which gives it a great look. Don't worry, it will look great. I will be going past tommorrow morning and I will take a picture so you can see it finished off. Hi eli-kay123 .. would really appreciate if you could post some pics. Thanks .. Hi baronx, Here is our garage. I would prefer all brick because I know the walls will mark etc.... but this is how PD do it. Maybe if you are going to have a shed, make it a big enough so you can store alot more things in there and try and keep items in the garage to a minimum. e.g. no bikes http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y349/eli-kay/DSCN1705.jpg Ivanhoe 36 Dep:18-4-11 Tender:26-5-11 Colour/Electrical:8-6-11 Contract:29-6-11 Building Permit:6-7-11 Site Start:16-8-11 PCI:10-1-12 Handover:24-1-12 http://eli-kay-ivanhoe36.blogspot.com/ Re: Porter Davis homes 3834Nov 29, 2011 8:52 am BUILDING ON BOUNDARY - S TYPE GUTTERING Hello All, Has anyone here built on a boundary and if so was a "S-Type" guttering system used? If so, would you be kind enough to post the guttering / garage detail as shown on your drawings as I'm trying to understand what it looks like. Door needs to be redone. Funny how they just hang it back up knowing this is like this. I can't understand why they didn't sand it back and re-do it why the door was still off. http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y349/eli-kay/DSCN1714.jpg Booboo No 2. Not happy!!!! They will probably just fill this now. Thanks in advance, Chorlton I have s type guttering.. basiically the gutter is in line with the brickwork.. so it sits on top. I dont have a photo to show.. you might be able to see it in some of my posts in the thread., Re: Porter Davis homes 3838Nov 29, 2011 9:15 am JLD Looking fabulous Eli-kay, love your entrance tiles! Thanks JLD, I was inspired by the Waldorf in Williams Landing, same with the pillars. I loved the look and put pillars in the lounge and rumpus room. Gives it a nice ambience. I love pillars too...we had some in our last house and they were my favourite feature. We've gone for a more casual fitout this time as we're near the beach and it doesn't really suit our new lifestyle but I think I need lots of houses so I can have all the different decorating styles that I love Shame the finances don't agree Re: Porter Davis homes 3840Nov 29, 2011 9:34 am Eli-kay your entrance looks amazing actually all of it does. Cant wait to see it finsihed. What colour is youjr render at the front?
