Should a ducted airconditioner controller (eg Daikin with built in zone control) be located inside your primary zone? As far as I can read they must have an internal temp sensor because they sell optional remote sensors. So if it is to act as a thermostat then it would have to be located inside the zone that is on, which is never going to always be the case. Infact I want to put it into our pantry that isnt zoned.
Is this a concern?
Also they have located the return vent down the passage to the kids beds, that is behind a door we close from the living area. Is this a problem when the living area is our prime use?
Saw new thermostat from Nest (ex Apple designer, google it) that seems extremely inteligent and economical, but cannot see how it could be compatible with the proprietry cabling.
