Well, slab not looking so good with this downpour...let's hope it passes quickly! Of course there will be photos!! Even though I can't remember for the life of me how to post them on here Pleased to hear your good news last week too T....it's all starting to happen! Thanks Nina - and we have more today too! (Just locked off CC plans). Yeah, we were looking at Cosmopolitan too. Lucky for us they didn't want to know about us (as we had Custom plans). So where are you at with selections? You mentioned you were out at Beaumonts recently. I didn't find Beaumont Tiles that great actually... You? After all that worrying! Is there any builder you didn't check out?! I wasn't that impressed with Beaumont either, there weren't many to choose from in our range which is silver. Not sure what to do - needs to go back to versatile ceramics to see how they would cost our job with Hotondo (Hotondo are happy for us to continue with them if we want) - but I wasn't that thrilled with our choice from them - it's ok, just not mind blowing - so I think I will have to cost out all options. I did really like one thing in be amount - a glass mosaic that is black, but kind of looks like different shades of grey - that as a feature wall in the shower with a white glossy 60 x 30 on the walls and a nice charcoal on the floor is very tempting. All upgrades for us! The 60 x 30 satin white for the walls with a latte floor tile might be an option for the main bathroom. I really want a beige stone sort of look for the main bathroom in 60 x 30 so it looks quite spa like, but they didn't have anything. This is what we have gone for from versatile ceramics. More thinking to do. Other than that, have changed our minds on kitchen appliances - gone from free standing cooker to induction cook top with 2 ovens or probably 1 oven plus 1 oven combined microwave (just need to speak to somebody about the one in mind to find out exactly how oven like it is). Need to finalize kitchen choices and plans once appliances confirmed. Sink and tap to change too! And need to find some flooring - accent carpets are being really helpful. Have you chosen all your appliances and flooring? Oh yes, we changed external and internal doors too, and handles, and deck from tiled to timber....I think that's it! No electrical layout yet - will do that with electrician later. Getting quite worried about the landscaping to be honest and feel we need to consult somebody sooner rather than later...but no idea where to start looking for somebody. Any ideas there? What was the deal with CC plans then - how come they were different to your original plans? I'm sure ours were the same? And more good news, less needed than proposed in the contract, so a bit of a saving hopefully. The guys are back tomorrow to do the formwork for the drop edge beams in prep for the pour next week. I only had my BBerry with me today, took one pic which my son then managed to delete - so I will get some pics over the weekend. Literally so happy to see progress on the site that I could have cried.
