A lot of smaller jobs to be done I guess, harder to coordinate. I am sure it is not because the builder now has 95% of their payments... Re: Porter Davis homes 3627Nov 03, 2011 4:07 pm Hi Ebony, I'm back! We had our three month inspection a while ago and things still havent been fixed. I contacted maintenance several times and there are three items still oustanding. Eaves that rattle loudly with the wind, a privacy lock that is peeling and a vent that threatens to fall on our heads. I spoke to one person at maintenance, that person promised to fix it and did nothing, passed the photographs and details to someone else last month but nothing. Still waiting. Is there any chance we could get this fixed before our twelve month inspection? Thanks. Our house has stood up really well to the recent weather and I must say we are very happy with the finish. Our SS was fantastic throughout our build. I for one, am glad that we chose PD. Thanks for sharing your photos, your kitchen looks like it’s going to be a lovely open space. Cheers Ebony Thanks Ebony, Yes the kitchen is going to have a massive feel about it. On the original Ivanhoe floor plan the alfresco was directly across the kitchen which gave the area a tighter feel. We decided to put the living room in place of the alfresco and move the alfresco to the back of the house which is located infront of the meals area. This suited us better and we have a whole back yard to look at from the meals area now. We had our replacement lights fitted today and the sparky broke on of the bulbs and a second was missing. I bought a couple at bunnings and have broken both of them myself. Are there any tricks to replacing this bulb? To me, it seems that there is not enough clearance when screwing back the bottom part of the fitting and it rubs and breaks the bulb Re: What's under your bath tub? 3635Nov 04, 2011 10:43 pm Ours looked similar to yours, I did mention it to the SS and it was covered over before I had a chance to see. However, we had a fault with the bath tub and they had to cut a tile to replace the bath and I was suprised to see they had cleaned it up. (still waiting for the tile to be replaced ) Re: Porter Davis homes 3636Nov 04, 2011 10:45 pm thebigbuild I am interested to hear from a bunch of you on how many days between your contract signing and site start on average. Also, if there were any specific things that had to be taken into account before being able to build a new home I'd be grateful for any info on those as well. Feel free to PM me if you prefer.
