Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis homes 3606Oct 31, 2011 11:54 am Wateman Should the base price of our house be the same on the contract that it was on the sales order/tender? I did not notice this at the signing - I think because I was too concerned about making sure nothing was missing - but on our sales order we have a price for our house, and on the quote we have a different price for the house, and then a $6000 developer discount. We didn't know anything about a developer discount, but even with the discount, the price on the contract is about $3000 more than on the original sales order. I asked my BC about it and they said 'This deposit that was paid was for the fixed price guarantee for the site start month'. With all the hassles we have gone through so far I don't know whether this one is worth pushing or whether there is nothing to push! The base price on your sales order and contract should be the same. Re: Porter Davis homes 3609Oct 31, 2011 1:59 pm Hi All, Been quiet for a while as nothing has progressed. Quick question - how long did PD start onsite after the Building permit was issued? We have had our permit for about 1 week and are wondering what the hold up is... Should have had the permit 3 weeks ago but thats another storey for another forum Cheers Cheers, Alpal Building PD Heathmont 40 BLOG: http://alpal-pd-heathmont40.blogspot.com/ Deposit paid 19/08/2011 Contract signing 3/10/2011 Site Start 10/11/2011 Slab 23/11/2011 Re: Porter Davis homes 3610Oct 31, 2011 2:59 pm Wateman Hi coobri, What house are you looking at building?
